During this 13 Days – Vietnam Family Gathering tour you will visit a lot of famous destinations in Vietnam and do a lot of activities with the local people there. You will visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, discover Cai Be floating market, take a cruise to Tan Phong Island for biking, visit the village paths to see the local daily life and discover their culture, take a boat trip to visit the brick kilns, witness the Hoi An Memories Show and Impression Theme Park…

DAY 1 HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), you will be greeted by our guide and transferred to the hotel in the downtown. After doing the check in, you will be free on your own to walk around the city center to get acquainted with the liveliness of this young city. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 2 HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNELS – FOOD TOUR BY VESPA MOTOBIKES (B/D)

After breakfast at hotel, meet your guide at your hotel lobby. Take about one and half of hour drive, you will arrive in Cu Chi Tunnels where you will start a discovery to enrich and experience a web-like tunnels system of more than 200km in length which used to be the shelters of guerrillas during the Vietnam war… After visiting Cu Chi Tunnels, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

18:00: Nighttime excursion, street food adventure. You will be picked up at the hotel and driven to the first stop is at Café zoom to "watch the world goes by" and enjoy cocktail and appetizer before adventuring into your favorite local eating spot. Experience the nightlife of Saigon, the real deals of the locals... all from the back of a vintage Vespas. The adventure will be continued with a ride to China town and then head to District 4 through busy streets and alleys to see the nightlife of locals, enjoy street sea- food and cold drinks in the hidden places that foreigners never reach to. Leaving district 4 for district 3, keep touring to pass through downtown district 1 to take in the sights on the way to Banh Xeo - the specialty of Saigon and southern cuisine.
Then continue to a hidden Vietnamese-style coffee shop to have a taste of Vietnamese live music like a local. After that, the scooters will bring to a lively music venue to enjoy the drinks with live music. Go back to the hotel around 22.00.

DAY 3 HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA – OVERNIGHT IN HOMESTAY IN VINH LONG (B/L/D)

07.30: After breakfast, your guide will take you on the trip to Cai Be pier (86km) from HCMC by car or van via Trung Luong Freeway.
On the arrival, you will start with a visit to Cai Be floating market. Then cruise to Tan Phong island for biking or walking on village paths to see the local daily life: orchards, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses. On the way, we can make some stops to see the locals making rice paper for spring rolls, sewing coconut leaves for cottage roofs and especially see how they wave the dried water hyacinth to make some products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes... Then, the rowboat will take you to go deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy a peaceful time.
Lunch is served in a local home.
Back to the boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, Mekong River, to come to An Binh Island.
Check in Ut Trinh homestay. Have a fresh shower before participating in cooking some with the members of the local family, enjoy dinner & overnight in the homestay.

DAY 4 EXPLORE LOCAL VILLAGE IN MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH CITY – FLIGHT TO DANANG – HOI AN (B)

Have breakfast and do check-out, go for a walk along the village to enjoy the fresh air in the morning, arrive at the local workshop to learn how to make rice paper, coconut candy, pop- rice... Enjoy some local specialties with a cup of hot tea.
Take a boat trip to visit the brick kilns where you can see how the local people create beautiful potteries from clay. Keep boating along the floating village, you will see how the fishermen farm catfish on the Mekong river. Also, we can visit Vinh Long market in the town. This is the best choice for you to take pictures of fish, shrimps, prawns, crabs, snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, and vegetables….
Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city.

Follow the schedule, your guide will take you back to Ho Chi Minh Airport and take a flight to Danang.
When arriving in Danang, you will be welcomed by your local driver and transferred to the hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 5 HOI AN FREE DAY – HOI AN MEMORIES SHOW AND IMPRESSION THEME PARK (B)

8.00: You will be taken from your hotel in Hoi An to Hoi An Impression Theme Park. The park is a boat that brings tourists back in time to one of the busiest commercial ports in Asia in XVI-XVII century and carries memories of Hoi An from 400 years ago.
After having a panoramic view of an ancient Hoi An through interesting activities and models displayed in the park, let's move to the area for the impressive Hoi An memories show. This show is an incredible spectacle. The sheer scale of it is comparable to an Olympic Games opening ceremony. Located in an over 25,000 square-meters area, the stage itself is more like a Hollywood set featuring both watery and mountainous scenery and using modern staging techniques, lighting technology and elegant audio effects. Boasting a cast of 500 actors and dancers, it uses stunning and spectacular imagery and as a viewer, you are invited along a 400-hundred-year journey of the town’s growth with all of its grace and prosperity.
Hoi An Memories show begins at 19h30 and finishes at 20h45 evevery day except Tuesday).
After the show, transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 6 HOI AN – BANA HILLS – HUE (B)

08.00: Meet your guide and driver to head to Ba Na Hills. Take Cable Car ride from Ba Na Hills station, stop at By Night station to visit Vong Nguyet hills, Linh Ung pagoda, The Old Villas of French. Continue moving up by cable car to the Nui Chua Mountain – the top of Ba Na range, visiting Nghinh Phong top, Le Nim Villas, Orchid Garden… Experience hill climbing train (first and unique funicular in Vietnam) and visit an old French cellar (Debay Ancient Wine Cellar), flower garden Le Jardin D’amour.
You should not miss walking on the famous Golden Bridge hanging in the foggy hills of the mountain, witness the amazing and gorgeous view of Da Nang City.

Afternoon: Free for joining games in Fantasy Park – the third biggest indoor games zone in Vietnam with series of interesting games: 4 – 5D film, skiver, The death race, dinosaur park…
15h00: Transfer from Ba Na Hills to Hue city. Arrival in Hue and do the check-in your hotel. Free time at your leisure. Overnight in Hue

DAY 7 HUE – BOAT TRIP ON PERFUME RIVER – ROYAL TOMB – ANCIENT CITADEL (B)

08.30: Your tour guide will start you for the tour around to discover Hue. Waking up in the ancient land, you will board on a dragon boat for a cruise on the romantic Perfume River. Being the former capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945, Hue now is a great attraction for tourists with many old and interesting constructions left.
Visiting some impressive royal tombs of Nguyen emperors can make you excited today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop. Setting in the converge of rivers, you can have a great view of Perfume River and surrounding areas. Drive to visit tombs of King Minh Mang & King Khai Dinh.

This afternoon is dedicated to a tour in Hue City to discover the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City - an amazing historic landmark in Hue - a definite must-see sight to learn more about the history and architecture that visitors should not miss when traveling to this peaceful land.

DAY 8 HUE FREE DAY – FLIGHT TO HANOI (B)

About 02 hours before your flight, our driver will come to the hotel and take you to the airport for the flight from Hue to Hanoi. Welcome to Hanoi, the heart of Vietnam which is considered as a blend of traditional and modern beauties. At Noi Bai Airport, your guide and driver will welcome then take you to your hotel to do check-in.
After relaxation, it is your free time to discover the Old Quarter and taste the very delicious local cuisine. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 9 HANOI FULL DAY CITY TOUR (B)

08.00: After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and driver and take a full day city tour of Hanoi You will start with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, there you can visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the corpse of our Uncle Ho is being kept. Keep touring to the Presidential Palace - a nice French architecture in the garden and visit Ho Chi Minh House on stilts. Visiting the relic to help you learn more about the simple life of Ho Chi Minh - the first president and the founder of new Vietnam. You will finish this area with the One Pillar Pagoda - one of the most attractions in Hanoi with its unique architecture.
Have lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue the tour to the Temple of Literature – a Confucious temple and it was The first University of Vietnam.
Keep driving to the Museum of Ethnology, where you will learn more about Vietnamese culture and its different minorities.
Go back to the downtown to explore Hanoi Old Quarter, the famous 36 ancient streets of Hanoi in a traditional cyclo ride. This slow-speed tour will give you a great chance to fully enjoy the classics and modern of the capital. You will have free time to go shopping or relax on your own. Back to your hotel.

DAY 10 HANOI – NINH BINH – HOA LU ANCIENT CAPITAL – TAM COC – BICH DONG (B)

08.00: After breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and head out of Hanoi for Ninh Binh, enjoy beautiful scenery on the way.
Arriving in Ninh Binh city, pay a visit to Hoa Lu – the ancient Royal Capital of Vietnam, visit the two temples: the Temple of King Dinh and King Le, admire the unique architectures from ancient time.
Continue driving to Tam Coc village and have lunch at a nice restaurant. Then board a sampan to visit Tam Coc which means literally “Three caves” (2.5-hours boat trip). Enjoy the views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves, as well as countryside landscapes like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc is called “Halong bay on land”. It is a very good opportunity for photo lovers, freeze the special time and scenery.

Take a cycling ride to Bich Dong pagoda nearby and climb up the mountain to have a wonderful perspective view of the Bich Dong and Tam Coc areas.

DAY 11 NINH BINH – HALONG BAY – OVERNIGHT IN CRUISE (B/L/D)

08.00 AM: Our driver will pick you up at the hotel, departing 3.5 hours to Halong Bay – the World Natural Heritage recognized by UNESCO twice. Upon arrival, embark on the cruise and enjoy a welcome drink while having a tour briefing. A sumptuous lunch will be served on board while the ship sails further to the Bay, make your time to admire its dramatic limestone islands.
You can rest at your leisure on the sundeck or relax in your cabin. In the afternoon, you will have time to swim in the warm and calm water or get on the kayaks of your choice. Kayaking is very easy for all levels and ages to do. Our expert and experienced guide surely instruct you on basic paddling steps before leading you to explore the extraordinary beauty of Halong Bay. After 01 hour of exploring the bay, we will return to the cruise for relaxation before attending a Cooking class in the late afternoon.
Enjoy the superb dinner and stay overnight on board.

DAY 12 HALONG BAY – HANOI (B/L)

We will continue our journey on Halong Bay in the early morning. A Tai Chi Class on the sun deck is a must that you should not miss when on the cruise.
Sitting on the upper deck; you can relax, sightseeing while taking photos of the magnificent beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.
After breakfast, we will explore Sung Sot cave - one of the finest and widest grottoes of Halong Bay. Next keep cruising and passing the fishing village with its unique way of life.
At 10.30 AM, our boat cruises back to the jetty, and you will enjoy the last moment in the bay before having a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
You leave the boat around 12:00 at noon, we go ashore and transfer to Hanoi hotel.
