This 7-day safari is all what you need to discover Tanzania’s wildlife. You will experience highlights of a Tanzania safari in the heart of some of the most diverse landscapes: Arusha-Tarangire National Park, Tarangire-Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park, Serengeti NP-Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Crater, Manyara national park… 

You will get the chance to witness monkeys in the forest, elephants amongst acacias and a huge variety of animals and birds. You will also visit the world-famous Serengeti National Park, see the 2nd tallest mountain in Tanzania Mount Meru, visit Tarangire National Park for game drives and other breathtaking adventures. 

Highlights

  • Game viewing in the Serengeti National Park, known for its large populations of big cats, elephants, and other wildlife, as well as the annual wildebeest migration. This park offers an opportunity to see the big five: lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, and cape buffalo.
  • Visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcano that is home to a large variety of wildlife, including the big five. It is considered as one of the natural wonders of the world.
  • Exploring the Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. The park is also home to a wide variety of other wildlife, including lions, leopards, and giraffes.
  • Visiting a Maasai village, to learn about the traditional customs and lifestyle of the Maasai people, and experience their culture, music, and dance. It's a great opportunity to interact with the local people and to learn about their way of life.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL (ARUSHA)

You will be pickup from the airport at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport by our company representative. They will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha about a 1-hour drive. Here you will stay and overnight.

DAY 2: ARUSHA-TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours away). Tarangire is best known for its elephant families, savannah, iconic baobab trees, seasonal swamps and the life-giving Tarangire River. Animals gather at the river and giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest are often seen. The park is also home to buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions, leopards and rarely cheetahs. From the open roof of the safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the wildlife while in the truck. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park which includes a delicious lunch and soft drinks. After a full day in the park, you will drive to your accommodation where you will be able to relax, enjoy dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 3: TARANGIRE-SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, drive up the crater highlands, stopping at the rim for a spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing as far as the eye can see is the vast Serengeti. Serengeti means "endless plain" and this 6900 square miles (18000 square kilometers) park is inhabited by more than two million wildebeest. From January to April is the season when wildebeest give birth to their calves and also hundreds of thousands of plains zebras and Thomson's gazelles. Large predators including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are drawn to the area by this abundance of prey which migrates throughout the park. Many smaller animals like rock hyrax, bat-eared foxes, mongoose, honey badger, jackals, monkeys, baboons, and African hares also inhabit the area along with nearly 500 species of birds. After the game drive, you will return back to Seronera campsite/rest house.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Soon after breakfast you will have opportunity of full day game drive dedicated to sport wildlife chaos at various points in Serengeti. Always mornings and evening are always the best moment to sport animals. You will descend into home of the wildlife in Serengeti or endless plains. All safari animals occur in a great number from “big five” to “small five according to big five”. Aside from big cats many others predator can be spotted including sported hyena during morning, jackal and more. Evening you will have dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 5: SERENGETI-NGORONGORO

Memorize the final game drive in Serengeti accompanied with a lot of pictures. Always Serengeti is rich of big cats, buffalos, zebras, hippo, and a lot of species of birds-as you come out of the Serengeti to Ngorongoro at the border of the of Ngorongoro crater you will have the welcoming to Ngorongoro for the following day. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro you will have a short walk along the crater rim. Later you will have dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER- LAKE MANYARA NP

After breakfast descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.We will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater. Later slowly head out of the crater and drive toward Lake Manyara for Dinner and overnight at campsite.

DAY 7: LAKE MANYARA-ARUSHA (CITY)/ DEPARTURE

After breakfast at your accommodation, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game viewing drive with a picnic lunch. You will have lunch at a picnic site and afterward, further game viewing. Later, you'll drive back to Arusha or at the airport to catch your flight to the next destination.
